Foods That Prevent Arthritis


Arthritis a disease that many think can only be cured or prevented with the use of medicine. While medicine is the first thing people turn to when they need relief it is possible to prevent arthritis and the severity of existing arthritis without taking any medicines at all!

Preventing arthritis and/or reducing the severity of it can be as simple as eating a few special foods with vitamins that your body needs to aid in the fight against the disease! The more you can maximize the intake of whole foods and minimize the amount of processed foods the better off you will be!

By eating foods high in the vitamins C and D while drinking lots of water you can aid in the lubrication and shock absorbing abilities of joints. Since water makes up nearly 70 percent of the cartilage in the joints, dehydration may be a factor that many suffer from but don't know about!

To reduce the chance of dehydration you must first eliminate the factors that draw water away from your joints and out of your body. Sodas, coffee and packaged tea that is added to water contain numerous ingredients that may block the absorption of water and actually promote the removal of fluids from the body!

Many of the foods that cure arthritis can be made into succulent meals that can be prepared in minutes! Most of the meals like Spinach Vindaloo, Fruit Bowls and Date Raisin Chutney contain simple ingredients that are easy to find and best of all, they are quite simple to make!

Arthritis is a disease that strikes many and leaves them baffled as to how they should combat it. It attacks the cartilage in the joints robbing them of precious vitamins. But by eating foods rich in vitamins and cutting back on processed foods you can reduce the risk and even stop arthritis in its tracks!
